【亿邦动力网讯】5月20日消息,随着中国跨境电商在全球范围内的活跃,很多海外企业以及国家和地方政府都把目光投向了这个巨大的市场,欲借中国跨境电商的增长势头谋求新的发展机遇。
目前,位于英吉利海峡的岛屿――泽西已瞄准中国跨境电商市场,计划在华大举招商,鼓励其通过与泽西的合作进军欧洲市场。5月16日,泽西投资贸易发展署与亿邦动力网在上海首次举办了泽西就跨境电商在中国的首场沟通会。
泽西投资贸易发展署向亿邦动力网介绍,泽西岛是一个高度自治的英国皇室属地,拥有独立的金融、法律、司法和税收体系,有别于英国,且不受制于欧盟。
除了农业、旅游业、金融业,近年来电子商务及跨境服务成了泽西新的发展方向。凭借靠近英法、辐射全欧洲的地理位置,以及非欧盟成员国的优惠政策,泽西邮政体系(拥有60多年跨境业务经验)成为全球商户进入欧洲跨境电商市场的一个重要选择。
“泽西是世界领先的国际金融中心,金融业发展规范、透明度高,且非常开放。同时,在过去几年,泽西岛的银行存款也在不断地上升,从一开始的4000万英镑上升到现在的1500亿英镑,其中有40%来自亚洲。”泽西投资贸易发展署署长Wayne Gallichan向亿邦动力网介绍道。
“泽西正积极开拓与中国的业务往来,我们的商务代表团访问过北京、香港、杭州、义乌、厦门,以寻求和中国电商企业之间建立联系,为中国企业提供一个安全的通往欧洲市场及其他全球化市场的门路和经营地点。”Gallichan表示。
据亿邦动力网了解,泽西岛是世界上最大的五座海峡岛屿之一,距英国100英里,离法国仅12英里,岛屿面积为45平方英里,人口不到10万。在其独立的公共财政体系下,企业所得税率为0,个人所得税税率为20%,因此,很多在线零售商选择利用泽西来实现在欧洲市场的扩张。
泽西邮政国际业务拓展总监Michael McNally指出,在泽西设立公司或建海外仓对中国跨境商家来说,优势就在于可以拥有欧洲业务基地、实现本土化服务,同时又能享受非欧盟成员国的好处。泽西邮政和其他快递网络遍布全欧洲,其中,泽西邮政业务覆盖欧洲42个国家,拥有37个欧洲中央枢纽中转站和660个仓库,提供从中国到泽西以及从泽西岛欧洲市场的高效运输。
据介绍,2013年欧盟27国居民有37%曾在网上购物,在线畅销商品包括娱乐媒介、服装和鞋类、消费电子产品等。同时,仅有15%的居民曾跨境购物,但36%的居民表示愿意跨境购物,以获得更优惠的价格、更广泛的产品选择范围,或更好的购物体验。因此,这对中国跨境电商商家来说将是一个很好的机会。
一个以欧洲为目标市场的跨境电商卖家谈道:“服饰产品在欧洲很畅销,未来还有很大的发展空间。不过,从中国到欧洲,物流和退换货服务是很大的问题,所以我们正考虑在欧洲建海外仓。我们希望能找到一个有优势的地方,泽西在我们的考虑范围内。”
此外,1号店海外市场负责人也指出,欧洲市场是其跨境电商进口业务中的一个大头,很多产品来自欧洲,比如牛奶、食品、母婴、保健等产品。

As China’s cross-border e-commerce becomes active globally, a lot of overseas enterprises and governments have focused on this huge market, hoping to achieve a new bright future.
Currently, Jersey, an island located in the English Channel, targets the market of China’s cross-border e-commerce, planning to attract investments from China, and encourage Chinese enterprises to enter European market through cooperation with Jersey. On May 16th, Investment & Trade Development Agency of Jersey and ebrun held the first communication conference as the theme of gateway to Europe in Shanghai.
Representative from Investment & Trade Development Agency of Jersey said that Jersey is a territory of UK with high-degree of autonomy. And Jersey has its own independent financial, law, justice and tax system, different from the UK and not subject to the EU.
In addition to agriculture, tourism and finance, in recent years, e-commerce and cross-border services become Jersey’s new direction of development. As Jersey is close to Britain and France, convenient to Europe geographically, and enjoy the preferential policies of none-EU member states, Jersey Post (with cross-border business experience for more than 60 years) becomes an important choice of merchants from all over the world who want to enter the European cross-border e-commerce market.
“Jersey is one of the world's leading international financial centers. And in the past few years, Jersey’s bank account is constantly rising from 40 million pounds to 150 billion pounds, 40% of which comes from Asia.” Wayne Gallichan, the director of Investment & Trade Development Agency of Jersey, told ebrun.
“We are actively open up the business relationship with China. In order to creating a collection with the e-commerce enterprises of China, Our business delegation have already visited Beijing, Hong Kong, Hangzhou, Yiwu, and Xiamen. And we hope to provide a safe path and business location for to enter Europe market.”
Michael McNally, head of International Development of Jersey Post Group, also pointed out that establishing company or building overseas warehouse in Jersey have several advantages for China’s cross-border businesses. They can have a European base whilst experiencing the benefits of not being in the EU. The network of Jersey Post and other Express spread all over the Europe. Jersey Post and its partner companies covered 42 European countries, establishing 37 central hubs across Europe and 660 depots, providing efficient transportation from China to Jersey and Jersey to European markets.
It is said that, 37% of EU27 resident individuals made an online purchase in 2013, the top sales categories (non travel) contains Entertainment media (DVD & CD), Clothing & footwear, Consumer electrical. Only 15% EU27 residents purchased cross border in 2013. But 36% EU27 residents stated they would purchase cross border to obtain a better price, have access to a better selection of goods or obtain an enhanced customer experience. So, this is a good opportunity for China’s cross-border e-commerce businesses.
“Apparel products sell well in Europe, and it also has a large developing space in the future. However, from China to Europe, logistics and return service is a big problem. So, we are considering about building overseas warehouse in Europe. We hope to find a perfect place , and Jersey is within our consideration.” A Chinese merchant said.
In addition, head of the overseas market of 1 Haodian also points out that Europe is an important market for its cross-border e-commerce import business. Many products like milk, food, infant & mom, health care and so on comes from Europe.
